Clergy and Staff

The Right Reverend John Guernsey, our bishop, and his wife The Reverend Meg Guernsey.   Bishop Guernsey is the bishop of the Mid-Atlantic Diocese of the Anglican Church of North America (ACNA).  He resides in Woodbridge, VA.  Watch videos of Bishop Guernsey teaching on prayer and preaching on Sunday here: http://www.vimeo.com/13766336

The Rev. Craig Stephans has been Rector of Church of the Redeemer since February 2010.  He was ordained to the priesthood by the Rt. Rev. John Guernsey, Bishop of the Diocese of the Holy Spirit of the Anglican Church of North America. He is married to Missy and has children Madeline and Jack.

The Reverend Dr. Fred Moncla, a retired OB-GYN physician, serves the church as ordained deacon.  He leads morning prayer each morning at the church, helps to plan and assist with worship and provides pastoral care to many, including his handful of children and grandchildren at the church.

The Reverend Jessica Fulton, an ordained deacon, serves as Children’s Pastor and also lead a young adult Bible study called Venture.

The Rev. Susan Witwer serves the church as a Deacon and leads a ministry of pastoral care to residents of nursing homes and church members who are homebound.  Susan is married to Dr. Tim Witwer and has two children and a grandson.

Wendy Sawyer is our Organist and Director of the Choir.

Dr. Lindsay Stevenson assists with music and singing when he is not delivering babies.

The Rev. Fred Barrett is priest and Vicar of Church of the Good Shepherd, a church plant of Church of the Redeemer at Nags Head on the Outer Banks of NC. Fred is married to Cathi and they have daughters Anna, Rose, Juliet and Charlotte.
